Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter is a full remake of the JRPG that started the Trails series. For the Western launch, we built the campaign around one of the game's warmest details: its food. Creator cooking videos and a box of character chocolates gave press, creators and new players a way to taste Liberl before they ever played it.
The campaign
Cooking the game
Creator partnerships, shortformWe partnered with food creators Issagrill (Nadine Estero) and Kojimochi to recreate dishes from the game in real life for shortform platforms. The videos met food audiences where they already scroll and showed them a side of a JRPG they wouldn't expect. The recipes were also collected into the Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter Recipe Book.
Orbal Confections press kit
Press and influencer mailerKeeping with the food theme, we sent press and creators a box of 16 chocolates from Christopher Elbow, with every flavor chosen to match a character's personality. Cheerful Tita got sunny fresh lemon, upbeat Estelle got a bright calamansi mandarin, and hotheaded Agate got a cinnamon and chile Aztec spice with more warmth than bite.
Bracer Edition
Collector's edition, physical productOur team designed the items in the Bracer Edition around the Bracer Guild that Estelle and Joshua join in the game. The goal was for every piece to feel like something a bracer would actually carry or keep, from a Bracer Guild notebook and a cloth map of Liberl to a wooden music box that plays "The Whereabouts of Light."
